Irmilda "Irma" Staebler, 96, Ogden, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000 at the Ogden Manor. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church in Ogden. Msgr. James Lafferty will officiate with burial in the St. John's Cemetery in Ogden. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:45 p.m. at Carson Funeral Home in Ogden.

Irma M. Holdgrafer, daughter of John J. and Elizabeth M. Jost Holdgrafer, was born June 16, 1904 in Clinton. She attended the Lady of Angels Academy in Clinton. As a teenager, she moved with her family to Williams. She was married to Francis "Frank" Bernard Staebler on April 21, 1925 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams. They lived and farmed near Williams until 1936 when they moved to a farm east of Beaver. In 1965, they retired and moved into Ogden. Her husband died in May of 1982. Mrs. Staebler became a resident of Ogden Manor in 1997.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church where she was active in the Rosary Society. She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and the Farm Bureau Women's Group. She also served as a 4-H Leader.

Survivors are her five daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy Staebler of Oakton, Va., Jeanette and Elmer Wolf of Diagonal, Gretchen Schlieman of Dayton, Betty and Orien Dealine [this is a TYPO, it should be Sealine] of Stanhope, and Veronica and Gene Folz of Vista, Calif., three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Phyllis Staebler of Jefferson, Bud Staebler of Boone, Bill and Cynthia Staebler of Ogden, 29 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister Eleanora Holdgrafer, West Des Moines, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Connie, three sisters, four brothers, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a daughter-in-law.

Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
