Jerry Lee Wheeler, 69, Alta Loma, Calif., died Oct. 10, 2000 at his home. Services were held Oct. 13 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Alta Loma with burial in the West Lawn Memorial Park in Covina, Calif.

Jerry Lee Wheeler was born April 10, 1931 in Woolstock, the son of George H. Wheeler and Elena M. Wheeler. In 1942, the family moved to Webster City, where he graduated from high school in 1949. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1953 and served until 1955. In 1958, he married Janis Pederson of Badger. They lived in Lake Mills, Albert Lea, Minn., and Racine, Wis., where he was production control manager at Walker Manufacturing for 16 years. In 1979, they moved to Alta Loma and have since operated a Hallmark Gift and Card Shop in Claremont, Calif.

He is survived by his wife, Janis; mother, Elena Jensen, son Jeff, daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Steve Crocker, grandchildren, Justin and Taylor Crocker, all of Alta Loma, Calif., half brother, Richard Wheeler, Oregon and half sister, Judy Robinson, Texas.

He was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church of Alta Loma.
