Gary A. Van Winkle, 63, Des Moines, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at McLaren's Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at McLaren's Funeral Chapel.

Gary Van Winkle was born in Webster City. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He lived most of his life in Des Moines and was employed at Accudocs in Urbandale. He retired in 1999.

He is survived by his wife Sandy, Des Moines, his son Todd Van Winkle, Des Moines, daughters Kelly Casey, West Des Moines, Kris Jordan, Adel; mother Dorothy McCollough, Webster City, sisters Linda Halligan, Stockton, CA, Miki Tolle, Littleton, CO and Mindee Pruismann, Webster City.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
