Helen Boring, 79, Webster City, died Aug. 16, 1996 at the Hamilton County Public Hospital. Private funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church in Webster City, with Rev. Charles Stolte officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Becker Funeral Home in Jewell is in charge of arrangements.

Helen O. Lawson, daughter of Sterling and Loucreecy Mulnix Lawson, was born Dec. 1, 1916 in Cole Camp, Mo. She had been a resident of Webster City for 38 years. Prior to living in Webster City, she had lived in Boone. On Dec. 31, 1958 she married Samuel F. Boring in Webster City.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Boring, Webster City, sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Pat Bray, St. Paul Park, Minn., Eddie Sr and Carol Bray, Lake Crystal, Minn., daughters and sons-in-law, Emily Donahue, Joplin, Mo., Virginia and Richard Willson Sr., Webster City, Sharon and Jim Gumm, Des Moines, 18 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters; one brother, daughter, Shirley Mae Bray, one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Boring was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Webster City.
