Eleanora Clouse, 73, Webster City, died Sunday, August 6, 2000 at the Southfield Care Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Morgan and Cindi O'Brien, ministry assistant, officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the service.

Eleanora Jane Norem, daughter of Elmer and Blanche Jenning Norem, was born August 17, 1926 at Newingston, Ill. The family moved to Wisconsin, where she received her education. On December 1, 1945, she married Orville Olaf Jondal at Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City. She had been employed at Morton Frozen Foods in Webster City, Globe Union in Fort Dodge and Franklin Manufacturing (Frigidaire). Mr. Jondal died Feb. 4, 1971. On March 16, 1973 she married Paul E. Clouse at Elks Point, S.D. The couple resided in Webster City. She worked at Franklins and Beam Manufacturing, retiring in 1990.

Survivors are her husband, Paul; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Pam Jondal, Webster City, Bonnie and Maynard Nicholson, Webster City, Connie and Dennis Walker, Dubuque, Debra and Randy Hilpipre, Kamrar, stepchildren, Dennis Clouse, Webster City, Dwayne and Beth Clouse of Littleton, Colo., Cheryl and George Rasmussen of Wesley; foster children, Kevin Greer, Oklahoma, Dallas Greer of Ocean Shoes, Wash.; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sisters Bonnie Weeks of Wapella, Karen Cross of Webster City and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Vern Hanson, sister, Dorothy Coleman, brothers, Alva Norem and Terry Hanson.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the Women of the Moose in Fort Dodge.
