Kenneth E. Aldridge, 53, Webster City, died Sunday, May 25, 2003 at the Hamilton Hospital in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Carter and Rev. Bill Kem officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery at Webster City. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Webster City Police Department and American Legion Post #191.

Kenneth Edward Aldridge, son of Henry and Dorothy Runquist Aldridge, was born March 26, 1950 at Lancaster, Mo. He graduated from Scotland County High School in Memphis, Mo. in 1968. He served with the U.S. Army-Artillery as a weapons specialist at Anchorage, Alaska from May 1969 to April 1971. On Sept. 3, 1972 he married Colleen Miller at Webster City. From 1971 to 1973, he worked for P.M. Place at Missouri, Motorola in Illinois, Ben Franklin in Webster City and Kmart at Fort Dodge. In 1973, he started with the Webster City Police Department, attending the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy at Des Moines in February of 1975. He retired in 2002 because of failing health.

He is survived by Colleen Aldridge, Webster City; daughters, Tonya Aldridge of Houston, Tx., Kendra Aldridge of Ankeny; granddaughter, Megan Bohlen; special friends, Todd Bohlen of Houston, Tx., and Jake Wignall of Ankeny; sisters, Barbara Garrett of Moberly, Mo., and Linda Aldridge of Memphis, Mo.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Alberta Kaldenberg.

He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Iowa State Police Association and was a police firearms instructor.
