Doloris Kayser, 84, Webster City, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at Trinity Regional Medical Center at Fort Dodge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. Jack Flaherty, celebrant. A private committal will be held at the Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Doloris Marie Spangler, daughter of William and Glenne Sheridan Spangler, was born April 12, 1919 at Wesley, Iowa. She graduated from Britt High School, and then attended the Waterloo Cosmetology School. She operated the Dolley Beauty Shoppe with her sister, Evelyn, in Webster City. On August 21, 1940, she married Lawrence R. Kayser at Dakota City, Neb. She was a homemaker. Mr. Kayser died July 25, 1993. He was an attorney in Webster City for over 50 years, former county attorney and former company commander of Company E-133rd Infantry-34th Division.

Mrs. Kayser is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Nancy Kayser; Jon and Jean Kayser, all of Webster City; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Rocco Grillo, Boone; grandchildren, Brooke Kayser of Webster City; Kori and Matt Welbes of West Des Moines; Kathy and Ulf Konig of Maquoketa; Chuck Kayser of Buena Vista, Colo., Mike Kayser of Sioux City; Jessica Grillo of Boone; Tom Grillo of Ogden; great-grandchildren, Johann and Evan Konig; sister, Evelyn Long of Eagle Grove; brothers, Paul Spangler of Britt; Ron Spangler of Mission Viejo, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother William Spangler and a sister Patricia Spangler.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church; TTT, Chapter BA; Webster City Women's Club; Catholic Daughters of America; Webster City Travel Club; Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary; Webster City Country Club, numerous bridge clubs and the O.A.O. Club.

As a couple, they enjoyed traveling to many points around the world. Doloris loved her garden work, bridge, volunteer work, family and friends.
