Maurice "Pack" Packard, 73, Fond du Lac, Wis., died Thursday, May 1, 2003 at his home with his family by his side. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment with graveside services will be held May 17 at 3 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Agnes Foundation (Hospice Hope Program) 430 East Division St., PO Box 385, Fond du Lac, Wis. 54936-0385. Zacherl Funeral Home is serving the family.

He was born Oct. 16, 1929 in Renwick, Iowa, the son of E.H. and Harriet Blair Packard. He graduated from Webster City High School with the class of 1947. He served in the United States Army National Guard, 133rd Infantry Unit out of Webster City. He married Jackie A. Peterson in Webster City on Dec. 17, 1950. He was a member of Fridley United Methodist Church in Fridley, Minn.

Survivors are his loving wife of 53 years, Jackie, Fond du Lac, Wis.; two daughters, Nancy (Lance) Gantner of Fond du Lac and Mindy Quinn of Milton, Wis.; four grandchildren, Gavin and Laina Gantner, Fond du Lac; Megan and Mindy Quinn, Milton, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Carroll, Clayton and Joseph Packard, and one sister, Edith Stein.
