Elvira D. Larson, 84, of Webster City, died Monday, March 3, 2003 at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. John Grebner and Rev. Doug Tiffany officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral Home.

Elvira Darline Williams, daughter of Sylvester and Mary Whaley Williams was born April 1, 1918 at Thomas, IL. In 1921, she moved with her family to Iowa. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1936. On Feb. 1, 1942 she married John Archer Larson at Bethany, MO. Following Mr. Larson's discharge from the U.S. Army, the couple resided in Webster City. She worked at Wallace Photography Studio for several years. Her main vocation was as a homemaker. Mr. Larson died Oct. 27, 1996.

Mrs. Larson is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Donald Powell of Goldfield, Delores and Gene Bennett of Webster City, Darlene Griffin, also of Webster City; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Donna Larson of Iowa City, Darwin and Susan Larson of Wetmore, KS; 14 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren; brother, Clinton Williams of Murray, UT; sister, Nola Ades of Eagle Grove, sister-in-law, Miriam Williams of Goldfield and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband John, she was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Karen Just and her brother Richard Williams.

Mrs. Larson was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Rebekah 72, American Legion Auxiliary, where she was past president, county president, district chaplain and historian. She was also a member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary where she served as historian and the Royal Neighbors of American where she served in several offices.
