Helen Oleson, 85, a longtime resident of Webster City, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 25 in Stuart, Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Harlan Oleson, a brother Raymond Parrish and a sister Loretta Wayman.

She was born {July 25, 1917 daughter of McCoy & Ethel Beall Parrish] and raised in Woolstock and then moved to Webster City after completing high school. She married Harlan Oleson in 1937 and was active in the Asbury United Methodist Church and other social organizations for many years. After her husband retired in 1976 they moved to Mena, Arkansas and spent the summers at Turtle Lake near Mine Center, Ontario. She returned to Webster City after her husband's death in 1986 and remained there until relocating to Stuart, Florida in 1999 to be near her son.

She is survived by her son, Norman Oleson and wife Tamara of Stuart, Florida; a granddaughter, Marne Juestel, husband Ray and two great grandchildren of Valparaiso, Indiana; grandson Boune Oleson of Stuart, Florida and a sister Bessey Harvey of Galesburg, Illinois.

A graveside service will be at a later date in Webster City.
