Faye McKee, 84, Webster City, died Monday, June 17, 2002 at Hamilton Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational UCC Church with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Burial will be prior to the service at Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral Home.

Evelyn Faye Strader, daughter of J.F. and Celia Meland Strader, was born May 28, 1918 at Marathon, Iowa. She received her education at Marathon and at the Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. She taught at Jewell, Randall and Webster City. On May 28, 1942 she married Sterling Fenton McKee at Cheyenne, Wyo. The couple resided in Webster City and later farmed north of Webster City for many years. They retired to Webster City. She moved to Crestview Apartments in October of 2000 and to Crestview Manor four months ago. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. McKee is survived by her husband, Sterling; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Cindi McKee of Maple Grove, Minn., daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Dean Primrose, Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Peggy and Clark Taylor of Plymouth, Minn., Polly and Brad Jacobson of Cedar Falls, Tracy and Doug Alagna in the military in Germany, Melissa McKee of Sioux Falls, S.D., Mitchell McKee of Cottonwood, Minn., Morgan McKee of Kimball, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Lauren Taylor, Sawyer Jacobson and Brenna Alagna; sister, Mavis Peterson of Storm Lake; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Clarice and Fred Strader and sister, Joyce Severson.

She was a member of the First Congregational UCC, Chapter EL of PEO, Order of Eastern Star-50+ year member and the Hamilton County Genealogy Society.

Memorials may be given to the First Congregational Church or the Diabetes Association.
