ANNA M. STAPP, the daughter of Elias and Elizabeth (Wutz) Jensen, was born on 2 Aug. 1911, in Fremont Township, Hamilton County, on the family farm. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, attending country schools.

Anna was united in marriage to Dallas D. Stapp on Jan. 3, 1933, Dakota City, Neb. They lived in Wright County from 1941 to 1967, where they farmed east of Eagle Grove. They moved to Rock Rapids and lived there for 10 years, to Webster City for 17 years, and back to Eagle Grove in 1995. Anna moved to Rotary Ann in 1998.

Anna was a member of New Testament church in Webster City. She was a former member of Know Your Neighbor Club and enjoyed traveling, baking, cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Dallas of Eagle Grove; children, Delma & (Richard) Swanson of Webster City, Helen Burr of Eagle Grove, Betty & (Gary) Hall of Newport News, VA. and Rosemary & (George) Ellwanger of Des Moines; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Weldon Jensen, Mary Anderson, Woodrow Jensen and Wallace Jensen.

Mrs. Stapp passed away on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove at the age of 91 years. Preceded in death are her parents; a sister, Helen; Son, Richard in 1984; grandson, Richard Jr. in 1986; granddaughter, Beth Osboe, in 1992; and a great-grandson, Blake Peterson in 1990.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec 24, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the Park Church of Christ in Goldfield. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Visitation was at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.
