Esther Meyer, 90, Bethesda, Md., died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Bill Kem officiating. There will be no visitation. Foster Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002 at Christ Lutheran Church in Bethesda, Md. with Pastor Marvin T. Tollefson officiating.

Esther Sarah Meyer was born March 6, 1912 in Webster City. On Sept. 29, 1935 she married Herbert Meyer of Denison, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.S. Hanson, on Ohio St., Webster City. The couple lived in Webster City for a brief period and then moved to Minneapolis, Minn. In 1948, the couple moved to a home in Bethesda, Maryland where Mrs. Meyer lived until the time of her death.

Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law, Jack Meyer and Jo Ann Crystal Meyer of Montgomery Village, Md., one daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Steve McNamara of Sterling, Va.; three grandchildren, Maureen Meyer of Washington, D.C., Jennifer McNamara, Sterling, Va., and Suzanne McNamara of Sterling, Va., and one grandson, Michael Meyer of Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Meyer, her parents, one sister, one brother and one grandchild.
