Mary Jane Holt, 69, Eagle Grove, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery, followed by a 3:30 p.m. memorial service at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home two hours before the services.

Mary Jane Merz, daughter of Frank and Evelyn Hart Merz, was born June 26, 1933 at Williams. She worked at Newberry's and Woolworth's prior to attending AIB in Des Moines. She also worked at Hamilton Hospital. On June 22, 1956, she married Edward George Holt at Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City. She had worked at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls, Southfield Care Center, at Webster City and had provided home health care. She retired in 1978. Mr. Holt died on May 21, 1988. She had resided in Webster City, Alden, Iowa Falls and Eagle Grove.

Mrs. Holt is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Byron and Jackie Holt, Frank Holt, John and Christina Holt, all of Eagle Grove; Edward and Diane Holt of Raymond, daughter and son-in-law Susanna and Rick Wages of Webster City; 21 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, brothers, George Merz of Duncombe; Frank Merz of Iowa Falls, John Merz of Fort Dodge; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Darlene, Esther and Martha Merz.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
