Franklin N. Peters, 52, Webster City, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002 at his summer cottage in rural Spirit Lake of a heart attack. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lakefield, Minn with burial in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Minneota Township, Jackson Co., Minn.

Franklin Noel Peters, son of Harry and Freda (Dobson) Peters, was born on May 18, 1950 at Jefferson. He was the husband of Judy Brandt Peters and the father of Dr. Jennifer Peters-Groos and Dr. Ann Peters. He was educated at Dayton High School, Iowa Central Community College and Mankato State University. He was a loving father and husband, and the strength of his family. He was a manager with Red Owl Food Stores and worked in the heating, air conditioning and plumbing business. His most important career was raising his two daughters.

Frank was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. He enjoyed cribbage, fishing, hunting and reading western novels.

Frank is survived by his wife, Judy Peters of Webster City, two daughters, Dr. Jennifer Peters-Groos and her husband Dr. Christopher Groos, Madison, Wis., Dr. Ann Peters, Webster City and her friend, Brandon Garvey, Des Moines, his parents, Harry and Freda Peters of Dayton, a sister, Jill and her husband Larry Edwards of Lime Springs, their children, Brock and Emma, his aunt, Ethel Twombley of Bella Vista, Ark., his mother and father-in-law, LuElla and Abner Brandt, Lakefield, Minn, two brothers-in-law, Bill and wife Rhonda Brandt, Lakefield, Minn and Ed and Kathy Brandt of Tracy, a sister-in-law, Pat and husband Dave Gay of Maplewood, Minn.
