Derl Totten, 65, of Webster City, died Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at Fort Dodge, with Richard Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at the Kingdom Hall prior to the service. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Curtis Derl Totten, son of Curtis and Nettie Burnett Totten, was born August 17, 1939 at Webster City. He received his education in the Webster City school system. On August 1, 1958 he married Martha May Rhoad at Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City. He had worked at Nissen's farmed east of Webster City and for over 25 years was a self-employed drywall contractor.

Mr. Totten is survived by his wife, Martha; daughters and sons-in-law, LuAnn Zuretta Bell of Forsyth, MO; Cheri and Dirk Sandbach of Bethalto, IL; grandchildren, Stephanie and Joel Welker of Milo; Trisha Burgess of Arab, AL; Kathrine and Travis Heier of Ossian; six great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Totten of Eau Claire, WI; sister, Pauline Williams of Kissiee Mills, MO.

Derl was preceded in death by his parents; Curtis and Nettie Totten; step-mother, Lillian Carpenter Totten; grandsons, Troy and Travis McGrath and great-grandson, Dylan Daniel.

He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Webster City.
