Margie McConnell, 80, of Webster City, died Monday, July 25, 2005 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Pete Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Fosters from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and prior to the service on Friday.

Margie Louise Fisher, daughter of Ralph and Ethel Davis Fisher, was born November 28, 1924 at Webster City. She received her education in the Webster City school system. She graduated from Lincoln High in 1943. On June 5, 1943 she married Lawrence Everett McConnell at Glendale, LA. The couple resided at Webster City. She had been employed at the Maid-Rite, had owned and operated the Shady Oaks, had worked at Webster City Products, operated McConnell Ceramics from 1969 to 1997 and provided a day care service for several years. Mr. McConnell died July 31, 1986.

Mrs. McConnell is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Linda McConnell of Virginia Beach, VA; Mark and Nancy McConnell of Moville; Kevin McConnell of Vacaville, CA; Scott McConnell of Webster City; grandson, Zachary McConnell; special "grandchildren", India and Clayton Nessa; Ben and Jake Hayes; brothers, Alvin 'Buster' Fisher of Fort Dodge; Donald Fisher of Webster City; sister, Mary Jane Grove of Webster City; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Louis McConnell in 1971; sisters, Betty Biggs, Helen Anderson and Barbara Combs; brothers, Richard Fisher and Harold Fisher.

She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
