Herbert Hutton, 75, of Webster City, died Friday, June 3, 2005 at the Southfield Wellness Community. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, with Rev. Pete Peterson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Herbert Leslie Hutton, son of Frank and Ruth Little Hutton, was born June 20, 1929 at Northfield, Minnesota. In 1947, he graduated from Farmington High School at Farmington, MN. He also graduated from agriculture school at the University of Minnesota. On December 15, 1956 he married Karen Arline St. Vincent at Farmington. The couple resided at Minneapolis and South Dakota where he worked in sales. The family moved to Webster City in 1961 and he managed the Sherwin-Williams Paint Store. Karen Hutton died January 19, 1971. In 1972, he started working with the Iowa Department of Revenue, retiring after 20 years of employment. On August 2, 1973 he married Dolly Carter Carpenter at Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City. Dolly Hutton died October 1, 2001. He had resided at Southfield for two weeks.

Mr. Hutton is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, David and Aileen Hutton of Sioux City; Richard and Kathy Hutton of Dubuque; Daniel and Kara Hutton of Omaha; step-children and spouses, Nick and Julia Carpenter of Lompoc, CA; Dawn Heidick of Webster City; Kim and Charlene Carpenter of San Diego, CA; 8 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Frances Danielson of Foley, MN; brother, Charles Hutton of Dresser, WI; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Merrill Hutton.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
