Mary E. Herman, 51, Webster City, died at her home on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001. Funeral services will be at Londeen Funeral Chapel, 206 W. 5th St., Chapman. Kan., Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Trickle Jr will officiate. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery, Chapman, Kan. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8:30 p.m.

Mary was born April 14, 1950 in Blytheville, Ark., the daughter of Harold L. and Mary Love Pritchard Lucy. She attended grade school and high school in Whittier, Calif. She was an owner and manager of several restaurants in California and she was also a cosmetologist. She moved to Missouri and married Steve Herman on Nov. 8, 1996 in Steele, Mo. They moved to Junction City, Kan. in 1997 and they moved to Webster City Nov. 12, 2000 where they operated a Super 8 Motel. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Del Monte, Calif.

Survivors are her husband, Steve, Webster City, her parents, Harold and Mary Love Lucy of Milford, Kan., two sons, Casey Hubley of Grandview Plaza in Junction City, Kan., and Aaron Todd of Des Moines; two stepsons, Chris Herman and Steven Herman, both of Coatsville, Ind.; one sister Cynthia Meyer, Milford, Kan.; and one brother, Tom Lucy of Hartwell, Ga.; three grandchildren.
