Byron C. Huse, 82, Anderson, Mo., a former Webster City resident, died Nov. 25, 2001 at Gravette Medical Center in Gravette, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of service. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by American Legion Post #191. Private interment will be at Graceland Cemetery.

Byron C. Huse, son of Clyde and Ethel Shaner Huse, was born August 17, 1919 at Robertson, Iowa. He received his education at Robertson. On April 6, 1946 he married Helen Irene Noffke at Nashua. The couple farmed north of Webster City then moved to Wisconsin where they operated a dairy farm for 9 years. They returned to Webster City in 1968. They moved to Rogers, Ark. in 1983. Mrs. Huse died May 16, 1987. On Dec. 8, 1988 he married Thelma Torvey Roe in Arkansas. The couple resided at Rogers, later moving to Anderson, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Gordon Fisher of Des Moines, granddaughters, Jennifer and Jodi Helton of Des Moines; step-daughter and husband, Nadine and Bob Brown of Anderson; 7 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters Ruth Hinkel and Donna Huse, both of Waterloo; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, sister Velma Carter; brothers Joe, Harold and Dave Huse.

When residing in Webster City, he was a member of the Church of Christ and the IOOF.
