Ruby M. Marrington, 88, of West Des Moines died of a respiratory ailment Saturday at Fountain West Health Center. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Eureka Township Cemetery, Schaller. A memorial service will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, at West Des Moines Christian Church.
Mrs. Marrington was born in Sac County and lived in Schaller before moving to Webster City where she lived for 48 years and was employed at Parkhurst Hardware. She moved to West Des Moines in 1986. She enjoyed volunteering at Living History Farms, quilting, fishing, driving in the country, senior citizen and church activities.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Reese of West Des Moines and Janice Manarsich of Windsor Heights, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse.
