Glenn M. Hersom, 55, died at 11:10 p.m. Sunday at his home, 523 Boone street. He had been in failing health since last May.

Time and place of funeral services will be announced. Foster's funeral home will have charge of services.

Glenn Martin Hersom, son of William E. and Laura Hersom, was born July 22, 1897 on a farm near Fonda, Iowa. He was reared and educated at Fonda and was graduated from high school there. He later attended the Lincoln Auto and Tractor School, Lincoln, Nebr.

He was united in marriage Dec. 20, 1919 to Kathryn Mae Boozell at Fort Dodge. After their marriage, they moved to Webster City, their home since. For the past 10 years he has been employed at the Beam Manufacturing Co.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters: Mrs. Kenneth (Evelyn) Wood of Webster City; Mrs. Leonard (Margaret) Johnson of Jewell and Mrs. Marlyn (Joanne) Hoffman of Webster City; two grandchildren, Linda Elaine and Bruce Leonard Johnson; by his father, William E. Hersom of Fonda; four brothers and one sister, Fred, Ora and Elry Hersom, all of Fonda; Wesley Hersom with the U.S. navy, Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Leroy (Lila) Christenson.

He was preceded in death by his mother who died in 1948; by two brothers, who died in infancy.

He was baptized in the Baptist faith and was a member of the First Baptist church here.
