Margaret L. Johnson, 78, of Webster City, died Monday at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (2 1/2 miles south of Highway 175 on Nelson road) with Pastor Harley Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church cemetery.

Margaret L. Hersom, daughter of Glen and Kathryn Boozell Hersom, was born May 13, 1923 at Blairsburg. She received her education in the Blairsburg Schools. On September 19, 1942 she married Leonard S. Johnson at Fairmont, MN. The couple farmed in the Jewell area from 1943 until retiring in 1982 and moving to Webster City. She entered Crestview Manor in July of 1998.

Survivors are her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Roger Kleven of Walnut Grove, MN.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Deb Johnson of Van Horn, IA., Randy and Dixie Johnson of Storm Lake; seven grandchildren and sister, Jo Anne Cook of Anna, IL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Wood McFarland.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jewell, C.I.C. Neighborhood Club and St. Paul's Lutheran Ladies Aid. Margaret enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
