Jon Edwin Burnett, 52, died Oct. 22, 2001 in Fresno, Calif., following a two year battle with cancer. Funeral services were held Oct. 26.

He was born Sept. 29, 1949 to James (Turk) Burnett and Ann (Cunningham) Burnett. He graduated from WCHS in 1967 and then entered the Navy. After his discharge, he married Martha Fuentes and to this union a daughter Kristen was born. In 1990 he married Andrea West. He is survived by his daughters, Kristen and Breanna, stepdaughters Tracy West and Alicia West Christopher, mother Ann Burnett, Columbia, S.C., twin brother Jim, Webster City and brothers Steve of West Columbia, SC., and David, Madison, Wis.; several nieces and nephews.
