Sophie Anne Dahle was born Sept. 26, 1930 in Webster City to Elmer and Iva Satre Fardal. She graduated from Stanhope High School in 1948 and attended St. Olaf College where in 1952 she received her bachelor of arts degree in Music Education. She married Leland Dahle on August 17, 1958 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stanhope. In 1969, they moved to Cherry Hill, NJ. Leland passed away on Jan. 21, 1996. Sophie passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001 at a Northfield, Minn. hospital.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Mark Hanson of Iowa Falls, Andrea and Steven Morics, Redlands, Calif.; four grandchildren, Leah and Kari Hanson, Kate and Peter Morics.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Northfield. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Northfield. Memorials may be sent to St. Olaf College of St. John's Lutheran Church. Arrangements are made through Benson Funeral Home, Northfield.
