Alice R. Elliott, 74, of Webster City, died Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames. Private family services will be held at Foster Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Alice Roberta Cole, daughter of Fayette and Mabel Adair Cole, was born July 5, 1927 at Oshoto, Wy. She graduated from Lamoni High School in 1945. On June 29, 1945, she married Frank Elliot at Lamoni, Ia. The couple divorced in 1993. She worked at McGilligan Restaurant from 1968 to 1982 and Frigidiare (Electrolux) from 1968 to 1992.

Mrs. Elliot is survived by her sons, Steven Elliott of Webster City, Brian Elliott of Atlantic, Ia., Jeffrey Elliott of Indianapolis, In., Mark Elliott of Webster City, Keith Elliott of Atlantic, Leslie Elliott of Webster City; daughters Marla Elliott of Webster City, Diane Lentz of Dows; 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Arthea Stevenson of Lamoni; brothers Elbert Cole of Temple, Tx., and Clifford Cole of Independence, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sharon Marie Cole.

[the paper incorrectly spelled the last name several times so I checked Graceland Cemetery - the correct spelling is Elliott; there was a note with her headstone on Find A Grave regarding her death date which I question]
