Sybil I. Davis, 89, Story City, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001 at Bethany Manor, Story City. Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City with Revs. Stephen Anenson and John Engelstad officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Visitation will be at the Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

Sybil Knutson, daughter of Otis and Mattie Anderson Knutson, was born Jan. 3, 1912 in Hardin County. She married Lyle Davis on Sept. 29, 1934. He died on Feb. 16, 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the ELCW. She lived in Williams from 1954 to 1988 and in Story City from 1988 until the time of her death.

Survivors are her daughters, Glenda Knickerbocker of rural Williams and Darlene Okland of Story City; brother Milford Knutson of Clear Lake, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Gene, husband, three brothers, infant Reuben Knutson, Orville Knutson and Lester Knutson; one sister, Ethel Knutson.
