Cecil G. Adams, 89, of Webster City, died Saturday morning, Dec. 28 at the Hamilton County Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today (Monday, Dec. 30) at Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Miltner officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation was at Foster Funeral Home.

Cecil Glen Adams, son of George and Eda Albright Adams, was born Feb. 10, 1902 on a farm south of Webster City.

He attended Coal School south of Webster City until 1915, when he moved with his parents to Mitchell County.

On Nov. 16, 1926, he married Jessie Sonberg at Austin, Minn. The couple farmed near St. Ansgar.

In 1934, they bought a farm at Webster City and resided there until retiring in 1969. They then moved into Webster City.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and a son-in-law, Mary and Keith Bahrenfuss of Webster City; three grandsons, Kevin and Kent Bahrenfuss of Webster City and Kyle Bahrenfuss of Kamrar; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
