Mrs. George W. Adams, 91, longtime resident of the Webster City community, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Hamilton county hospital. She had been in ill health since Aug. 9, 1961.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Charles Schroeder officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Eda Christina Albright, daughter of Charles and Mary Albright, was born Jan. 26, 1871 on a farm four miles south of Webster City. She received her education in the Webster City schools and grew to young womanhood in the Webster City community.

She was united in marriage April 2, 1893 to George William Adams and the couple started housekeeping on a farm four miles south of Webster City. With the exception of 18 years spent in farming in Mitchell county, Iowa, the Adams family had always since farmed in this area. For the past 28 years, Mrs. Adams had resided on the farm with her son, Cecil Adams.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband who died May 29, 1950, by one grandson, Donald Adams; by her parents, one brother and three sisters.

She is survived by one daughter and four sons, Mrs. W.N. (Annie) Nicholson, of Floyd, Iowa, Antone Adams, Pine River,, Minn., Eugene Adams and Ver Adams, both of Osage, and Cecil Adams of Webster City; 16 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, John Albright, Webster City, Allen Albright, Athens, Mich., Mrs. Rose Adams of Osage and Mrs. Jennie Fiddler of McGregor.
