George W. Adams, 79, died at 1:30 this morning at his home on Willow street, following an illness of a year and one half.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Marvin Suhr officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Foster's funeral home in charge.

George William Adams, son of William and Sarah Anne Adams, was born Feb. 25, 1871 on a farm south of Webster City. He was educated and reared in that community and was united in marriage to Miss Eda Albright on April 2, 1893.

The family started housekeeping on a farm four miles south of Webster City, and with the exception of 18 years spent farming in Mitchell county, Iowa, the Adams family had always farmed in this area.

For the past 16 years, they had lived on the present farm with their son, Cecil Adams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his twin sister. He is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter: Antone Adams of Pine River, Minn., Eugene Adams of Osage, A.V. Adams of Osage, Cecil of Webster City and Mrs. W.N. Nicholson of Floyd, Iowa. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, Claude Adams, of Cosmos, Minn., and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Hatfield of Hutchinson, Minn. and Mrs. A.M. Meyers of Stratford.

Mr. Adams' home and family were his main interests in life. His six grandsons will serve as pallbearers at the funeral service.
