Blanche Margaret Kent was born Sept. 30, 1909 at Stanhope. She attended schools there and was an accomplished pianist and used that talent in the local church. She also taught Sunday school.

She married John Sanburn on March 31, 1947. After farming for a few years, they moved to San Jose, Calif. They both attended San Jose Bible College. She was employed with the finance department of San Jose Hospital until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Ferne Kent, and her husband John. She is survived by brothers Clayton Kent of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., and Keith Kent of Vancouver, Wash., as well as nieces and nephews.

Blanche spent her last four years in Milwaukie, Oregon and Vancouver, Wash., where she passed from this life on Sept. 4, 2001, just 26 days short of her 92nd birthday.

She was held in high esteem by her family and her many friends. We miss her, but rejoice that she is with her Lord.
