Word has been received of the death August 23 of Alvina (Koolhof) Duroe, 82, of Jesup, Iowa, formerly of Webster City.

She was a graduate of the Lincoln High School class of 1935.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Ellis of Newport Beach, Calif., and Susan Dohrmann of Fayette, Iowa; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one brother, Albert Koolhof of Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. R. Duroe in 1978.
