Donna L. Hutchison, 78, formerly of Santa Rosa, California, died June 19, 2001 in Chico, California.

She was born November 25, 1922 to Chester and Jennie Crouse in Webster City, Iowa where she was raised. In 1942, she married Eric Hutchison, Jr., also of Webster City. As a military wife, she lived in Wisconsin, California, Florida, Alabama, Ohio, France and Germany. Following her husband's death in 1965, she returned to live in northern California, where she retired after eleven years of employment with Pacific Bell in San Rafael and Santa Rosa.

A resident of Santa Rosa for twenty-five years, Mrs. Hutchison was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and actively involved in senior center recreational pursuits such as dancing and sightseeing excursions. She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family and friends, as well as traveling throughout the United States, Europe, Scandinavia, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Survivors include two daughters, Pennie Granieri of Penngrove, California and Sallie Riedasch of Bellevue, Washington; two sons, Rand Hutchison of Chico, California and Mark Hutchison of Folsom, California; four granddaughters, Kallye Hutchison of Bend, Oregon, Sasha Riedasch of Malibu, California, Lindsey and Loni Hutchison of Folsom, California; one sister, Helen Kauffman of Des Moines, Iowa; two nephews, Kent Kauffman of South Bend, Indiana and Kreg Kauffman of Rochester, Minnesota; many cousins and in-laws, and countless friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Merlin and Donald Crouse; a brother-in-law, Arlo Kauffman; and a sister-in-law, Beryl Crouse.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 25th at 1:30 p.m. in the First Congregational Church, 1000 Willson Avenue, Webster City, Iowa. A reception will follow.
