Leo P. Christenson passed away on July 5, at Iowa Falls. He died of cancer. He was born on July 6, 1920 at Jewell, Ia. His parents were Alfred and Blanche (Wentzel) Christenson. He attended school in the Jewell area and served in the Navy (1942-1945) as a cook. He worked at several businesses in the Jewell area, and as a cook for Wally Cook.

He is survived by an aunt Ruth Wentzel, nephews, nieces and many cousins. He was cremated and his ashes will be buried in the Jewell Cemetery at 10 a.m. Saturday.
