Cecil Lorene Hill Henderson, 79, Webster City, died Sunday, January 21, 2001 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Kem officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home.

Cecil Lorene Hill, daughter of Cecil and Flo Workman Hill, was born January 16, 1922 at Stanhope. She graduated from Stanhope High School in 1939. On May 11, 1939 she married Wendell Carl Henderson, and lived most of her life in the Webster City area. She was employed for 12 years at Farm Journal and also managed Hillcrest Mobile Home Park. After her husband's death in 1956, she was employed at Crosley and Foster Insurance of Webster City for 7 years. She operated her business for seven years in Stanhope. She retired in 1988 and moved to Davenport. She returned to Webster City in September of 1993.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Roger Tapper of Webster City; Donna and Mike Richardson of Long Beach, Ca; Judith and Larry Fenner of Davenport, sons, Wendell Henderson of Duncombe, Michael Henderson of Stanhope; 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, brother, William Hill of Stanhope, sisters, Harriet Norris, Margaret Hanson, both of Stanhope, Virginia Welch of Omaha, Shirley Robinson of Fort Dodge, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wendell, daughter in infancy, Sharon Lea Henderson, and brothers, Richard and Robert Hill.

Cecil Lorene was baptized at the Grace Methodist Church in Stanhope. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Davenport, Women of the Moose Chapter 0147 of Webster City, Academy of Friendship since 1961, American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 576 of Stanhope, and a life member of the International Women's Bowling 600 Club.
