Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home for Mrs. A.B. Cole, 76, who died yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at her home in Cass township, one mile north of this city.

Rev. D.C. Kooy will officiate with burial being made in Graceland cemetery.

Minnie Bennett, daughter of William and Marina Bennett, was born in Durham county, England, June 1, 1872. When she was 15, she came to this country with her mother and brother and the family located at Lucas, Iowa. She finished her education in the schools at Lucas, the family later moving to a farm in Mahaska county, near Oskaloosa.

She was united in marriage Jan. 1, 1893 to John William Beard, and the family started housekeeping on a farm near Oskaloosa. To this union, seven children were born. One daughter, Gertrude, died at the age of three and one-half years.

The family later moved to a farm near Albia in March, 1925. Mr. Beard died there August 15, 1925. Four years later, Mrs. Beard and the children moved to Webster City.

On Sept. 1, 1931, she was united in marriage to A.B. Cole and the family had continued to make its home in this community since.

She is survived by her husband, three sons and three daughters, Dan, Forrest and John LeRoy Beard, all of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. W.W. (Opal) Glaman, Mrs. J.H. (Hazel) Humble and Mrs. Clifford (Vera) Rasmussen, all of Webster City. Also surviving are four grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Annie Angove of Albia, Iowa.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister and five brothers. She was baptized in the Christian faith and was a member of the Church of Christ in Webster City.

Mrs. Cole was a loving wife and mother, her church, home and family being her main interests in life. She will not only be missed by her immediate family but by her many friends.
