Harry Rupert Legg was born in Foosland, 111., April 20, 1883, and departed this life at his home near Duncombe Dec. 19, 1937, at the age of 54 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

He came to Webster City with his parents in 1895, and had resided in this vicinity since that time, having lived west of Duncombe for the past 18 years In July 1903, he was united in marriage to Jennie Godsell, who departed this life Jan. 23, 1912. To this union, the following children were born: Mrs. Amos Severson, Webster City; Estel Legg, Lehigh, and Edith Legg, who died several years ago.

In July 1913, he was united in marriage to Letha Hotz to which union three children were born, Frank, Fred, and Clyde, all at home.

Although he had been in failing health for the past two years, his last illness was only of about two weeks duration.

In addition to his wife and five children he leaves to mourn his death a brother, Ray Legg, Duncombe, and three half-brothers, James Halliday, Duncombe; Edward Halliday, Fort Dodge, and Walter Halliday, Buffalo Center. There are also three half-sisters, Mrs. Frank Seamonds, Woolstock; Mrs. Bert Coulson, Webster City, and Mrs. W V. Graham, this city. There are three grandchildren.

He was a good man. an excellent neighbor and true friend.
