Gladys A. Boynton

Funeral services for Gladys A. Boynton, 90, longtime Webster City resident, will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Richard L. Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Miss Boynton died Saturday morning at the Southfield Care Center where she had resided for the past four years.

Gladys Alvada Boynton, daughter of Charles and Bertha Thompson Boynton, was born April 2, 1893, in Webster county. She was reared and educated in rural schools near Homer in Hamilton county. She attended Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls.

She taught in rural schools In Hamilton county for many years, later making her home in Webster City.

She is survived by one brother, Orville Boynton of Fort Dodge; one sister, Mrs. Lerlene Matthew of Webster City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother who died in infancy.

She was a member of the First Baptist church.
