Ruth LeeAnn "Annie" (McDonald) Ringstad was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 4, 1936 to Lee and Ruth E. (Bolan) McDonald.
She attended and graduated from Jewell High School. She continued her education and spent 1-1/2 years at the Iowa Teachers College.
On April 1, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ron Ringstad. They lived in Jewell and raised four children. Annie worked at the Jewell Record-News, Woodard Feed and Heuss Printing until she retired.
She passed away on June 21, 2020 at her home in Jewell, Iowa.
Annie is survived by her children Kristy (Mike) Schewene, Scott (Ann) Ringstad, Kelly (Dawn) Ringstad and Jill (Dave) Anderson; grandchildren Derek Schewene, Traci (Josh) Cannon, Lauren Schewene, Matt (Kate) Ringstad, Breanna (Jon) Lewis, Joey (Savanna) Ringstad and Drew Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ron and two grandsons Jared and Brett Ringstad.
Due to the unexpected death of her grandson, Brett Ringstad, on June 22, 2020, the visitation that was scheduled for LeeAnn has been cancelled.
