Tracy D. Brim, 51, of Story City, died Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Dan Corrow officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service at Blairsburg UCC Church in Blairsburg.
Tracy Dwayne Brim, son of Ernest (Bud) and Alyce Casbon Brim, was born February 22, 1968 in Webster City. He graduated from Northeast Hamilton School in 1986 where he played basketball and baseball. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Congregational Church in Blairsburg. Tracy attended DMACC for Tool & Die. He had worked as a machinist at Mertz Engineering, Stewart Electric, Precision Machine Manufacturing and currently was a CNC Development Machinist for Indoshell Precision Technologies in Story City.
He was united in marriage to Dawn Marie Stewart on October 8, 1994. They were married for 19 years. To this union a daughter was born, Carson Grace, who was the best thing to happen in Tracy’s life.
Tracy is survived by his daughter, Carson Brim; his parents, Bud and Alyce Brim; brothers, Tim (Tehra) Brim, Todd (Lisa) Brim; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. They will all miss his humor, jokes, laughter, and nicknames.
He loved spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, cheering on the Cyclones and reading. He had a great love for his four-legged pals – Sam, Sophia, Sara and Sadie.
