K. Aage Jensen of Marionville, Missouri died on Nov. 5, 2019 in Springfield, MO. He would have celebrated his 98th birthday later this month, but pneumonia stressed all his systems.

Aage was born on 11/22/1921 in Webster City to Alfred Jensen and Dagmar (Raven) Jensen. His parents were both born in Denmark, but met in Iowa. Aage grew up in the house his sister still lived in when she died at age 96 in 2016. Aage was a 1939 graduate of Webster City High School.

After working for his uncle at Raven Millwork and Lumber Company, Aage and Lew Throssel bought Eldora Millwork and acquired the patent for the Infanseat, which they further developed as the forerunner to the child car seats of today. While living in Des Moines, Iowa Aage worked at Adventureland Park and helped build the first “town” storefronts there.

Aage was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Alma Branyord (Dean) and Edith Jensen of Webster City, and his first wife Louemma in 2017, and Joyce in 2018. Son David (Sara) resides in Rogers, AR; daughter Kris Weis (Bob) lives in Muscatine, IA. Aage has 9 grandchildren: Justin (Emily); Ryan; Seth (Amanda); Jennifer (Mike); Aaron (Gaby); Jamie; Elizabeth Piska-Tanner (JD); Erin Piska; and Joyce’s Yvonne Green (Kenny) and 10 great grandchildren.
