Genavee L. Law, 90, of Duncombe passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Washington Lutheran Church in Duncombe with Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. A visitation will be 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the church.

Gen is survived by her children, DeAnn (Wes) Weuve of Bondurant, Larry (Barb) Law of Duncombe, Robert (Kim) Law of Vincent, and Joyce (Kevin) Williams of Webster City; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and sister, Letha Suepple of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by husband Mervin in 1988, infant daughter, Jean Law, parents Louis and Harmka (Cordes) Olthoff, and daughter-in-law Pam Law, son-in-law, Doug Brown, sister Doris Fonken; brother Lawrence Olthoff

Genavee Louise Olthoff was born January 30, 1929 in Kamrar. She was raised in the Duncombe and Webster City area. Gen graduated from Webster City High School. She then attended the Cedar Falls Teacher College. On June 2, 1948 she was united in marriage to Mervin Law. The couple established their home two miles south of Duncombe. Gen taught one year of country school and then stayed home to raise her family and help on the family farm. Gen was a fantastic cook and caretaker. She made the world’s best potato salad. Gen truly loved her family.

Memorials may be left to family discretion. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
