MISS KAHL, 17, DIES IN CITY

Former Resident Dies While on Visit

Lavina Louise Kahl, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Kahl of North Hollywood, Calif., former residents of Webster City, died suddenly this morning at Hamilton county hospital at 5:45 o'clock.

Miss Kahl, who had been visiting in this city since July, had been in poor health since the age of 3, but during the past six years while living in California her health had been greatly improved. She was taken to the hospital Friday evening after having contracted a severe cold, aggravated by asthma.

Funeral services, with McCauley-Chapman funeral home in charge, are pending.

Born in Webster City, Miss Kahl moved with her parents to California in 1941. Besides her father and mother, she leaves her grandmother, Mrs. A.J. Kahl of this city, seven aunts, two uncles and several cousins.

KAHL SERVICES WILL BE HELD HERE THURSDAY

Funeral services for Lavina Kahl, 17, who died suddenly yesterday morning at Hamilton county hospital will be held at the McCauley-Chapman funeral home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

The Rev. Thomas B. Collins of Ida Grove will officiate and burial will be made in the Forest Lawn cemetery at Los Angeles, Calif.
