Ruth L. Nail, 84, a longtime Webster City area resident, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Villa St. Joseph Care Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center.

Ruth Lillian Johnson, daughter of Nels and Hilda Bergman Johnson was born on October 21, 1920 at Webster City. She received her education and graduated from Kamrar High School. On November 27, 1941 she married Ray William Nail at Bethany, Missouri. The couple farmed northeast of Webster City. In 1949, they moved to a farm in Wright County. They moved to Clarion two years before they retired from farming in 1975. In 1979, they moved to Webster City. Mr. Nail died November 2, 1998. Ruth moved to Overland Park in May of 2004.

Ruth is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Lavonne Nail of Unionville, MO., Ron and Patty Nail of Minneapolis, MN.; daughter and son-in-law, Deanne and Larry Sheets of Overland Park, KS.; grandchildren, Scott, Stephanie, Kelly and Andy Nail, Jodi McKee, Jeffrey and Jamie Sheets; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Ray, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lloyd and Clifford Johnson and sisters, Eleanor Glawe, Delma Spitler and Helen Johnson.

Ruth enjoyed visiting with her friends and family, fishing, playing cards and BINGO. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Webster City.
