I. Linnevold, 80, died at 2:14 a.m. today at the Hamilton county hospital where he had been a patient a week. He had been in failing health the past 15 years.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Marvin Suhr officiating. The body will then be taken to Decorah, Iowa, where services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, at the Washington Prairie Lutheran church. The Rev. Oscar E. Engebritson will officiate and burial will be on the family lot in the Washington Prairie cemetery.

Ingeman Linnevold, son of George M. and Johanna Anderson Linnevold, was born April 25, 1870 at Decorah. He was reared and educated at Decorah and attended the Balders Business college in that city following his high school training.

He was united in marriage in 1896 to Miss Emma Peterson of Wisconsin Dells, Wis. The early part of their married life was spent at Mayville, N.D., but they later moved to Decorah where Mr. Linnevold was county auditor for eight years. The family returned to Mayville where the Linnevolds resided for 10 years. Then the family moved back to Decorah where Mr. Linnevold was appointed city assessor, a position he held as long as his health permitted.

In 1941, the Linnevolds moved to Webster City, their home since. In 1946, Mr. and Mrs. Linnevold observed their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Linnevold was preceded in death by one daughter, Mildred, who died in infancy; by his parents and by one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters: Lester of Norfolk, Nebr.; Mrs. G. A. (Nora) Richards of Des Moines; Miss Ethel Linnevold and Robert Linnevold, both of Webster City. One granddaughter, Carol Ann Richards, two brothers and two sisters; Rev. John Linnevold of Sioux Falls, S.D.; William Linnevold, Mrs. Peter Kjorlaug and Mrs. George Ode, all of Decorah, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Washington Lutheran church at Decorah and was a member of the Lutheran church in this city.

Mr. Linnevold was a kindly, friendly man, always interested in community activities. He had made many friends during his residence in Iowa and North Dakota, and they will miss him nearly as greatly as his immediate family.
