Word has been received here of the death of Robert Linnevold, 62, formerly of Webster City, who died suddenly at Marshalltown Tuesday, March 31. Death being attributed to a heart attack.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 1 at the Pursel-Davis chapel with the Rev. Walter Rasmussen officiating. A flag presentation was made at the burial site by the Frank Lewis Glick Post 46 of the American Legion.
Mr. Linnevold was born Nov. 30, 1914 in Mayville, N.D., the son of Ingeman and Emma Peterson Linnevold. He was reared in the Decorah area and attended Lutheran college there.
On Nov. 16, 1964 he married Marie Gravitt at St. Peter, Minn. He is survived by his wife; two stepsons, William Davis of Ankeny and Donald Davis of Mesa, Ariz. Also surviving are four grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Nora Richards, Des Moines and Mrs. John (Ethel) Hoff of Minneapolis, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister. Before moving to Marshalltown, he was employed in Hamilton county.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Frank Lewis Glick Post 46 of the American Legion.
