Louis Tuttle, 65, of Ellworth, died Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Henrietta Klarenbeek officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Louis Tuttle, son of Elmer and Esther Bly Tuttle was born on January 24, 1941 at Radcliffe, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Radcliffe High School in 1959. Louis then entered the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Following his discharge, he worked for many years in the road and elevator construction business. On August 28, 1976 he married Virginia May Ashby Norton at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He had most recently been employed with Burke Marketing at Ames, Land-O-Lakes at Ellsworth and Tasler Lumber and Pallet in Webster City where he worked part time. Mrs. Tuttle died June 9, 2005.

He is survived by his step sons, Mark and Jeff Norton of Webster City and Kevin Norton of Ellsworth; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Junior Tuttle of Aurora, MO.

In addition to his wife Virginia, he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters in infancy.
