Garry R. Bauer, 76, of Bettendorf passed away August 1, 2016. A private family service was held. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at [there was no funeral home listed]

A native of Webster City, Iowa, Garry served in the Iowa National Guard.

He married Patricia Nelson and later married Patricia J. Griggs in 1982.

Garry farmed until the early 1970's and retired from the trucking industry in 2004. He collected John Deere model tractors and owned his own 730 John Deere tractor.

Survivors include his wife, Pat; children: Wendy, Lanny, Whitney, Linda, Debbie, Laura and Kim; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Richard) Olson and Sally Bauer.

He was preceded in death by his parents [Russell & Golda Vulgamott Bauer], two brothers and a grandchild.
