Thomsen

Metta Christina Siemsen, born in Hardesbue, Germany, November 24, 1826 and died November 19, 1906, aged 79 years, 11 months and 25 days. She was married to Jurgen Henry Thomsen April 13, 1857, came to America in 1875. They lived in Clinton county, Iowa for three years. In 1894 they moved to Winnebago county, Iowa, where they made their home with their daughter, Mrs. Carl Witt, until the time of her death.

The deceased died after an illness of eight days.

One child, two brothers and one sister have gone on before her. She leaves a husband, three children and a brother to mourn her death.

The funeral services were conducted Friday at the Paul Sonksen home by Rev. E.S. Benjamin and the remains interred in the Olson cemetery.
