MISS OLSON, 75, DIED AT HOME

Miss Viola Olson, 75, longtime resident of the Stratford community, died at 12:30 a.m. today at the home of Charles Nelson, three and one-half miles south of Stratford, where she had been living for the past six months. Miss Olson had been ill for several years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the South Marion Methodist church, preceded by a brief service at 2 p.m. at the home of her sister, Mrs. E.W. Monson, four and one-half miles southwest of Stratford. Fosters will be in charge and the Rev. A. Rasmussen of Stratford will officiate. Interment will be in the South Marion cemetery.

Carrie Viola Olson, the daughter of Henry and Anna [Hanson] Olson, was born Feb. 5, 1871 at Des Moines. At the age of 10, she moved with her parents to a farm near Stratford. She had made her home since that time in the Stratford community.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are one brother, Fred E. Olson of Stratford and one sister, Mrs. E.W. Monson at Stratford.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. For the past several years she has been attending the South Marion Methodist church.
